For a festive evening out, be sure to head to downtown Coopersville for the 43rd annual Nighttime Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting. Beginning at 6pm, the tree lighting will kick off the evening at Pocket Park. The West Michigan Elite dance performance will immediately follow the lighting on Main Street. After the show, the Christmas Parade will begin at 6:30pm. The parade route begins on Main Street, west of Eastmanville. The parade will then head east down Main Street and end on the Coopersville School Campus. Be sure to stop at the Coopersville Community Service Building from 6:30-8:30pm for pictures with Santa, hot cocoa, and a community band will be performing.

Grand Haven Elks 1200 is open to the public on this day and is hosting its 3rd annual Shop & Sip on Friday, November 17 from 4-8pm. There will be approximately 20 vendors with a wide variety of goods to purchase. There will be an open bar, so grab a cocktail and do some shopping! There will be a hot dog basket for sale. hot dog, chips, and coleslaw for $5. Proceeds from the hot dog sales will go towards the Elks National Foundation. Live music will be performed by Dave Burel downstairs in the lounge.

Be sure to join Grand Haven Main Street businesses, shops, and eateries on Friday, November 17, from 5-8pm for Light Night 2023. This is their annual open house and kickoff for the holiday shopping season. The trees and lampposts in Downtown and Centertown are all wired up and will be turned on to be lit for the holiday season on this special night.
Holiday Light Night includes: Free reusable shopping bags for shoppers (limit of 1,000 total in district), the lighting of trees, lampposts, and holiday trees in Downtown and Centertown, great holiday open houses with some offering special deals at retailers and restaurants, the snowmelt system will be operating to keep the sidewalks clear, and the Social District is open to wander and sip on your adult beverages purchased at participating locations while taking in the sights and sounds of Holiday Light Night 2023. Bring the family and enjoy the lights and fun!

The annual Jingle Bell Parade and Central Park Tree Lighting will be held on Saturday, December 2, 6 – 7:30pm. The parade begins on Franklin Street, then will head west to Harbor Drive, north on Harbor Drive to Washington Avenue, east on Washington and will end at Central Park where everyone will gather for the lighting of the Christmas tree.
